Fall Fun Series: GCU’s Fall Festival

0

Coming to Phoenix from the Midwest, I just was not sure how to preserve the joys of the fall season for my family. I mean, truly, it is still 90 most days and the cacti don’t really change their color. A few years into our Phoenix chapter, we have settled into some lovely traditions. One is coming up really soon- Friday in fact! Grand Canyon University will host its annual Fall Festival. For those of you who haven’t been to GCU in a while, prepare yourselves. It has grown tremendously! Its new arena brings some great events worth checking out. I digress…

On Friday (tomorrow), Grand Canyon University will open its beautiful grounds to local families for their Fall Festival. Last year it was a blast. We were very impressed with the atmosphere GCU created. Kids can dress up in their Halloween costumes and trick or treat around the Quad. Faculty, staff, and students have booths set up with candy, activities and food. Last year there were bouncy houses. Our daughter loved it and is anxiously looking forward to another Fall Festival! We loved the family friendly environment. Oh yeah… and it is free!

I will be the first to admit that I am faculty at Grand Canyon University. That is how I first heard about the Fall Festival. Yes, I go to celebrate the University culture, but more importantly to all of you, it is a great little gem to help bring your family together this Fall!

You can go HERE for more information about the Festival!
