5 Beauty Products Every Mom On-The-Go Should Have

0

I have been a makeup artist for 12 years, but my love for makeup started long before that. I swore I would never lose my passion for daily makeup application just because I became a mom. Well three kids later, and I’m definitely re-evaluating my previous declaration.

Time as a working mom is limited, and I can almost guarantee one child will be pounding on the door screeching that they have to pee even though they had all morning to do so, and another child will be standing on a stool pretending to do her makeup while ruining my favorite MAC blush brush, all while I’m trying to slap some makeup on my face for the day.

I’ve definitely had to master the art of multitasking, reducing the amount of products I need and learning how to be quick without sacrificing my love for variety. Follow along as I share 5 beauty products every mom on-the-go should have.

Milk Holographic Stick

This multi-use stick is amazing! It can be used on cheeks and eyes for a gorgeous summer glow. This product is cruelty free and vegan made with avocado and coconut oil. Talk about a JLo Glow!

MAC Lipstick

Choose your favorite finish!  For me, the easiest way to feel put together is with a bold lip.  A matte texture usually has a longer staying power, so I alternate between Flat our Fabulous (a bold purple/fuchsia) Lady Danger (burnt orange red) and Whirl (a dusty deep rose). With hundreds of shades to choose from, you can’t go wrong.

Urban Decay Quick Fix Spray

Prep your skin with this delicious light weight hydration spray and spritz again to make it last. For effortless makeup and flawless skin, this spray has become my go-to! I love that it comes in travel size which is perfect for your purse. Ditch that compact and keep this to touch up instead. Your skin will thank you.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

Also known as the “Flawless Face” sheer coverage- this is perfect for a natural, no-makeup look. I’ve used several foundations throughout the years and this by far is my favorite.

Benefit Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer

This hides dark circles and visibly smooths fine lines. Plus with vitamin E & apple seed extract, this hydra-smoothing formula keeps skin hydrated for six hours. This is a no-brainer for every mom. There is nothing worse than trying to hide those tired eyes on dry skin. With this moisturizer concealer combo, you will look effortlessly flawless.

Michelle
Michelle is a mom to three minis: a Queen Tween, a nine year old standup comedian, and a sweet baby who hasn’t let anyone sleep for 14 months (and counting). Michelle was born and raised a Southern California girl, but relocated to the Pacific Northwest where she has spent the past 4 years living in Seattle. Michelle is a brunch enthusiast by nature; filling her weekends exploring the town’s best offerings and searching for the next, best, perfect latte. Naturally, Seattle was the perfect fit. But after four years, Michelle, her husband, and her three minis moved to Phoenix in search of more opportunity, and, hopefully, better brunching. Michelle is a makeup artist by trade, with ten years experience in beauty, bridal, and fashion makeup. When Michelle isn’t busy packing lunches, driving to basketball practice, or attending PTA meetings, she can be found beautifying her clients. “Everyone has a story” says Michelle, “This is mine; it isn't boring.”
